WESYP 2017

West Europe Student & Young Professionals R8 IEEE Congress

The WESYP, West European Student and Young Professional Congress, aims to bring together students and young professionals from the IEEE sections of Western Europe.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet other IEEE members from the different countries, share their work methodologies, know how, etc. As well as, attending different technical talks, activities and round tables where they can acquire new knowledge and establish new relationships.

The city of Valencia thanks to its privileged Mediterranean situation and to the economic and cultural dynamism, it becomes one of the main congressional, tourist and commercial destinations of Europe. It is the perfect location to host an event, fair, conference or participate in any of the events offered by Feria Valencia.

In Valencia, time is lived with the five senses. Its rich gastronomic tradition offers a wide variety of dishes in which rice and vegetables from its fields, fresh fish, sauces and nutritious desserts are a recital of flavors for the palate.

There are few places in the world with such a mild and exceptional climate. Valencia has an average annual temperature of 17ºC and a percentage of 90% of sunny days per year. Its climate is a permanent invitation to carry out business tourism and enjoy outdoor activities. It is easy to discover emblematic places and beautiful natural landscapes, do countless sports or especially enjoy the more than one hundred kilometers of magnificent beaches that extend from the same city over its coast.

With 2000 years of history, Valencia has an impressive cultural and artistic heritage. Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, Muslims… have left their mark on the history and traditions of this land forged at the crossroads of cultures. Stroll through the old town - one of the largest in Europe - and discover unique buildings like Santa Catalina, El Miguelete, Torres de Quart and Serranos, La Lonja de la Seda - declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site - el Mercado Central or el Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas, is a real tour of history. A walk that can take us to any of the 18 museums of the city, among which stand out, El Museo de Bellas Artes, - second art gallery of Spain - or the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM), international reference in the circuit of vanguard art.
